Camila should be chosen by American Idol as a solo Artist, instead of placing her in boring Fifth Element, per Simon C's idea. Back then, he said, she had terrific voice, and yes, she was the best of the whole season. So, she was locked into Fifth Element for years, but, perhaps, needed it, to prepare for so WELL deserved solo career. So happy, she left the group and had smash "Havana"! Talented, unique singer; one of the best now.
  • Astounding😍

I love this album so much. Growing up as a huge harmonizer, I’ve watched Camila grow as a singer and I’m so proud of her. She is doing amazing as a solo artist and her music is beautiful. I feel like I can relate to her words and listeners feel every emotion in this album. I cannot wait for her to drop more music.

I was expecting the album to sound similar to Cam's hit "Havana," and the rest of it is good but has a very different feel and would appreciate to hear more authentic vocals.
  • Camila Album Review

I listened to a pop album called “Camila”. The artist is Camila Cabello. The theme of the album is about the artist. The songs reflect on her, her past, and how she has changed. Cabello’s songs had the common theme of her, but others also incorporated the theme of people leaving her. Others have the theme of her addiction to that person. Never Be the Same, Havana, Inside Out, and Into It are the songs that are about her loving someone. All the other songs are her singing about what she has learned from people. The song Real Friends is about people who Camila trusted, and how the friends stabbed her in the back. She sings about how she needs new friends that will not leave her like the past friends. In the Dark is about someone she cared about, but they left her for their fake friends. The song starts off with her caring about this person, and the person is pushing her away. The song ends with her singing about how that person trusted the wrong people, and that she is still there for them if they need her. However, they can not just go to her like before. They have to show their true colors. Consequences is about her loving someone, and learning from it. She continues to ignore signs that the relationship with this person is not good. She later pays for the consequences of loving them. Now that she is older, she has learned from her mistakes. One song that does not match with the reflecting on past mistakes nor on love is She Loves Control. This song is about Camila loving control, and if you want to be with her, you need to give up your control. I would rate this album a ⅘ stars. Some of Cabello’s songs are about learning not to trust people, and learning from her mistakes not to love people as much. In other songs, she instead goes with the idea of only loving one person. If she stuck with one theme, it could have made the album better. The inconsistent theme does not affect that the songs are still catchy. Some songs are calmer, others are made more for dancing to. Other than the theme problem, the album is still worth buying.
  • It's ok..

I love you girl, but we were seriously hoping for another banger for the second single after "Havana", but this new one is just "cute". It is definitely not a #1 hit song like your previous. Nonetheless, I was looking forward to this album, but now after a few listens it's just contemporary mid tempos and ballads. I'm really disappointed. I was hoping there were going to be more pop bangers in it. You have an amazing voice, but we didn't need a whole album of slow songs and mid-tempos. Uffff....P.S. "OMG" was so good, it shoud have been included instead of two versions of "Never Be The Same". If promoted properly, that would've been a huge hit. Not a bad album, but not memorable.... "She Loves Control", is a definite hit though.
